Tom Bright

Acclaimed songwriter Tom Bright brings his "voice like sandpaper and heart like gold" to Perivale Brewery in West London this August 01st.

“One of the UK’s most moving songwriters” — John Kennedy, Radio X
“A star in the making” — Dean Jackson, BBC Introducing

Tom Bright stands as one of the UK’s most compelling contemporary songwriters, a relentlessly touring artist whose work is defined by emotional depth, unflinching honesty, and a rare gift for storytelling.

In 2025, Bright reached new heights in an already fast-rising career. He made his third TV appearance on BBC One’s Sunday Morning Live, returned for a fifth performance at Glastonbury Festival, and played a run of sold-out shows across the UK and beyond.

A dedicated craftsman, Bright performs with a guitar signed by Johnny Marr and John Squire - an emblem of both his influences and the journey that has shaped his sound. His path has led him to iconic stages including the London Palladium, Shepherd’s Bush Empire and The Glasshouse, alongside national television appearances on The One Show and Sky News. His voice is equally familiar across the airwaves, with live sessions and interviews on BBC Radio 2, BBC 5 Live, Radio X, and more.

His ability to cross musical boundaries has seen him share stages with a diverse range of artists including The Libertines, Mystery Jets, Tom Grennan, Reverend & The Makers, Katherine Priddy, Ed Harcourt and Perivale Brewery's very own The Leisure Society. Beyond the stage, his collaborative work includes recording with The The and being championed by Guy Chambers, while ongoing support from tastemakers such as Guy Garvey and John Kennedy continues to amplify his reach. His track If I Met Your Shadow spent two years featured on Spotify’s Most Beautiful Songs in the World playlist, introducing his music to a global audience.

In May 2025, Bright released Young Old Bloke, a collection of early works produced by Mick Jones of The Clash alongside Dirty White. The record adds to a growing catalogue that already includes three albums produced by Ed Harcourt, each reflecting a songwriter evolving in confidence, craft, and emotional scope. He is currently working on his fifth studio album with Blaine Harrison of Mystery Jets, marking the next chapter in an already remarkable trajectory.

Away from the stage, Bright’s story is as striking as his music. Once the UK’s youngest pub landlord, he also overcame a childhood marked by multiple life-saving surgeries at Great Ormond Street - experiences that continue to inform the empathy, grit, and perspective at the heart of his songwriting.

Tom Bright is not simply an emerging artist; he is a voice of substance and resilience, carving out a space that feels both timeless and urgently contemporary.

This special show in celebration of great British breweries and boozers is not to be missed!
